about

Full Spectrum Records label owner, composer and improviser Andrew Weathers collaborates with friends, Erik Schoster (aka He Can Jog) and Jason Nanna on synth to deliver this magical forty-five minute, live improvised set that took place at the Luggage Store Gallery in San Francisco earlier this year. This remarkable distorted dreamy lullaby takes you on a forty-five minute journey through subtle sparse tranquility and climaxes with epic roaring guitar waves.

Translation slowly takes melodic shape with bright synth tones that dissolve amongst warm fuzzy ambience combined with organic echoing guitar chords. Around the twenty-seven minute mark, the composition delicately builds into controlled distorted melodious chaos united with soaring drones. basic_sounds is honoured to host such a dynamic and powerful work.
