about

Maybe that makes these pieces portraits of a particular place at a particular time. I intended to do these only once a season, but the work is happening quickly. Being outside is about the greatest solace right now, so I've just been taking along my field recording kit every time I go on a hike, or camping. I'm still unsure what I'm doing here, but I'm heading into it. These are mostly from various locations in Oklahoma, with one recording of a questionable parade that went down the main street in front of Wind Tide.

Ostensibly, I'm A Composer. That's where my work is situated for myself and in the larger context of music & art. But because I abandoned any kind of notation, it's been a while since I've actually felt like a proper composer. This work feels more like composition - assembling a structure from materials rather than just fumbling around with my guitar & a DAW.
